Electric Vehicle Pilot

In late 2024, Access Riders ran a dedicated EV pilot with Uber Eats — deploying 20 electric bikes for an Uber After Dark test covering grocery and home deliveries to Engen and Woolworths customers. Riders were placed on the Access Riders marketplace, supported and coached until fully competent and licensed. Zero accident losses across the fleet. Some riders earned upwards of R18,000 per month. Several have since purchased additional bikes and secured their own drivers — paying it forward into the broader last-mile delivery ecosystem.
